The Sunny Side of the Lake.
There are only a handful of sub-divisions nestled along the east shore of Gull Lake AB. The area has been mostly agricultural within the uplands from the lake providing minimal public lake access. The communities with homes adjacent to the lake are highly sought after and seldom available on the market in Lacombe County. In recent years, there has been an influx of housing lots available on the east side of the lake in Ponoka County, just north of the subject property. A moderate tax rate for stakeholders, Lacombe County provides road maintenance, plowing and other seasonal operational services, environmental and protective services. Development and planning of new roads, paving and a public recreational area with public lake access and boat launch are well underway with the draft plans for the Anderson Park Recreational Area located at the end of Twp. Rd 41-2 and the lake shoreline. Wolfcreek School Division bus service is available through each sub-division for public and catholic school students from Kindergarten to Grade 12 into the City of Lacombe.With new developments speckling the landscape on the east side of Gull Lake shorelines and adjacent lands from Meridian Beach at Twp. Rd 42-2 in Ponoka County south to Wilson’s Beach at Twp. Rd 41-2 in Lacombe County, access and lifestyle are at the heart of these sub-divisions and sought after homes.
Community, Lifestyle and Access.
Wilson’s Beach Community Association is comprised of stakeholders within the small community of roughly 30 lots. Laid out in 3 adjacent cul-de-sacs along Range Road 28-2, only a third of the lots have direct lake access and are adjacent to the environmental reserve between the lots and the lake.This location is only a short 12 minute drive into the City of Lacombe, 25 minutes to Gasoline Alley in Red Deer, and just under 30 minutes to Ponoka and Sylvan Lake. Head north to the Edmonton International Airport in just over 1 hour.
